New York City is one of the largest and most busy cities in the world. There are many reasons for visiting the largest city in the state of New York. Business professionals from all over the world converge on the city each year for conferences, meetings and other forms of work. Tourists come to the city to take in the skyline, enjoy the buildings up close and visit the many attractions in the area. Travelers also come to shop, see Broadway shows and enjoy the atmosphere of the city that never sleeps. As you plan your trip to the area, there are plenty of NY hotels from which to choose. These hotels range from basic to quite luxurious and you can find any type of accommodation in every part of the city. This region is so large that you will have your choice when it comes to where you want to stay. You can find NY hotels in the heart of Manhattan, or on the outskirts in parts of town that are a bit quieter. Whatever you desire in your accommodations, you can find in one of the many NY hotels.

New York has so much to see and do that the mere excitement of your arrival can be rather overwhelming. It might be a good idea to have a few attractions in mind that you simply must see. The rest of the city you can take in as time permits. Most travelers put the Statue of Liberty high on their list of things they want to see while in the area. You can reach the statue and Ellis Island after a short boat trip. You can view the exhibits about immigration to the island, enjoy the history relating to the statue and even take an elevator ride to the platform of the statue. If you have plenty of time and stamina, you can climb the stairs to the very top of the statue and receive wonderful views of the city and surrounding areas.

If you are looking for intriguing views, you will also want to see the city from the top of the Empire State Building. This building is considered to be the most famous skyscraper in the world. The elevator ride to the top takes quite a few minutes and you will understand why when you reach the top and see just how high above the city you really are. Make sure you allow plenty of time at this structure because lines are often long. You will want to go on a clear day so you can see as far as possible once you reach the top.

As you make your way around the city, you are likely to travel over the famous Brooklyn Bridge. This bridge was built starting in 1869 and connects Manhattan with Brooklyn. Among all of the monumental buildings in the area, this bridge is actually one of the most magnificent landmarks in the city.

After you spend a few days wandering the city streets among all of the tall buildings, you may want to see a little green and escape for a while. Central Park is the perfect destination and many residents use the park for this very reason. The park was the very first large urban park in the country and since its creation, it has been copied all over the world. You can spend several days exploring the park and taking in all of the fountains, statues and other attractions it holds. Alternatively, you can simply use Central Park as a getaway for a picnic when you need a break from the bustle of the loud city streets. One of the best aspects of the park is that you can still view the Manhattan skyline, but from a much quieter viewpoint.

When you are ready to jump back into the fast pace of the city, Times Square is one of the most popular parts of town for tourists. This busy square is one of the reasons the city has often been called "the city that never sleeps". You will find famous shops, high-quality restaurants, large billboards, numerous theaters and much more in this square.

New York is a very overwhelming city in many ways. It is easy to fall in love with its buildings, its history, its theaters and its many other attractions. The worst part about visiting New York City is when you have to leave.
